Lithium Niobate

Lithium Niobate (LiNbO₃) is a versatile photonic material with a broad transparency range (420 nm - 5.2 µm), renowned for its strong nonlinear optical, electro-optic, and piezoelectric properties. Widely used for infrared optical modulation, Q-switching, and nonlinear frequency conversion (>1 µm wavelengths), its electrical/optical characteristics can be tuned through magnesium or zirconium doping.
