MgO:SLN
Non-stoichiometric defects in magnesium oxide-doped stoichiometric lithium niobate (MgO:SLN) crystals, which can severely degrade optical performance and hamper the fabrication process of quasi-phase-matched (QPM) devices, have been successfully mitigated by an advanced technique. This breakthrough has enabled the development of novel crystalline material systems with enhanced structural homogeneity and optimized photonic properties for next-generation nonlinear optical applications.
