This emerging solid-solution nonlinear crystal features a high nonlinear coefficient (d₃₁=15 pm/V), broad transparency (0.45–11.5 μm), and low absorption (α<0.005 cm⁻¹), enabling efficient conversion of 1.064 μm Nd:YAG lasers to 4–11 μm mid-IR. Surpassing its parent crystal in laser damage threshold and phase-matching performance, it supports sustained high-power frequency conversion.
